This page outlines the next steps and some important information about your move.

What next?

We will review our diary and send a booking confirmation by e-mail in the next 48 hours*; this is the formal notification that we have booked your requested date(s) in our diary and outlines the date(s), time(s) and service to be provided.

Please review this carefully and let us know if anything is incorrect.

Self Pack
If your quote includes the provision of packing materials for a self-pack, we’ll be in touch to arrange delivery. Alternatively, you are welcome to collect them from us.

Packing Service
If we’re packing for you then we will provide the necessary materials on the packing day.

Please contact us if you haven’t received a booking confirmation within 48 hours*.

Payment

An invoice will be e-mailed shortly after the booking confirmation.
If possible payment should be made in advance of the move; we should be in receipt of the full payment prior to the commencement of the move.

Payments are covered by the BAR Advance Payment Guarantee Scheme.

Our preferred payment method is Bank Transfer, the necessary details will be on the invoice; let us know when you’ve made the payment and we can confirm receipt.

We also accept payment by Debit Card or in some circumstances by Credit Card (If agreed in advance: Visa, MasterCard or American Express), please call to make payment.

Let us know if the invoice should be made out to a specific company or individual.

On the day of the move

Anything not to be moved?
Please keep anything not to be moved distinctly separate from the rest of your goods and make the team aware that they’re not to be moved; it may not be possible to retrieve items from the loaded vehicle.

Self-Packing
If you are packing your own belongings then please ensure that everything is boxed in advance of our arrival (including lampshades).

Keys
If there’s an exchange of keys then let us know when you’re on your way to collect them and also when they’re in your hand.

Contact numbers
Landlines sometimes get disconnected on moving days, so make sure we’ve got at least one mobile number for you.

New build?
New build properties often aren’t visible on sat-nav or mapping services; if you’re moving to a new build property please ensure that we have: the full address, a map and directions.

Items being stored?

Payment
Full payment is expected for the storage of your goods each month (unless agreed otherwise).
We’ll inform you of the monthly amount in your first storage invoice, we’ll then send a monthly invoice for your records.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Direct Debit or Debit Card.

If we’re storing your belongings for a longer period then we suggest setting up a Standing Order or Direct Debit for the standard monthly amount.

Storage Access
We require a minimum of 24 hours* notice if you’d like to access your storage containers. Let us know if you require porter assistance (fees apply).

Delivery from store
Just get in touch with us when you’d like to arrange delivery of your goods.

What if something changes?

We understand that sometimes the details of your move may change, please contact us as soon as possible if anything changes.

Post-move

Collection of packing materials
After you’re unpacked then give us a call and we can arrange the collection of your used packing materials.

Feedback
Please drop us an e-mail after your move is complete, we’re always keen to understand what we’re doing well and where we can improve.
